Game two: Robert Morris at Lafayette

Game 2!!!!!
Tonight your Robert Morris Colonials (1-0) will head to western Pennsylvania to take on the Lafayette Leaopards (0-1). The game will start at 7 p.m. and can be found on the Patriot League website or listened to on ESPN 970 AM. If you haven’t checked out our game preview yet, I suggest you do so.

So what do we know about Lafayette? I did some research and found…

-Lafayette College is 70 miles from New York City and 60 miles from Philadelphia.

-They are a private school with about 2,500 students. Tuition is north of $40,000 a year (!!!).

-The College was founded in 1826

-The newspaper, The Lafayette (creative!), is the oldest college newspaper in the state.

-An interesting tidbit I found: “One perk of living in Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley: in warm months, students can load up on fresh produce each Saturday at the Easton Farmer’s Market, billed as the nation’s oldest continuous open-air market. In the winter, students can go skiing and snowboarding in the nearby Pocono Mountains. The campus has its own indoor rock-climbing wall and on-campus night club called The Spot for year-round fun” Awesome!

-Social sciences is their most popular major.

Do you feel like you know more about Lafayette now? Good. This is your opponent tonight. Get in their head. Know them. Live like they live.

3 not-so-good reasons why RMU wins:
1) Lafayette College. Ha! I remember when we were a little college.
2) In the case of a duel between a real leopard and colonial, we all know who is winning that battle.
3) Andy Toole vs. Fran O’Hanlon. Student vs. Teacher. The student always wins right? I’m sure there are movies about this type of stuff.

Recap coming tonight!
