Game 1: Pre-game vibe and rituals + sacrifices

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Happy Saturday!

Today RMU takes on the Savannah State Tigers. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. I’m not 100 percent sure if there will be video available for anyone, but you can listen to the game on RMU radio (where my beautiful voice will be guiding you) or ESPN radio. Savannah State, much like RMU, is a team in transition. They played Pitt last night and scored 13 points in the first half. RMU should win today.

If you haven’t read the skinny on this match-up, take a look at it here.

Are we ready? After months and months of sitting around in dark rooms endlessly thinking of RMU basketball, the day is here. Here are some things you can do to help make sure RMU is dancing come March. This may sound crazy, but just do it.

-Eat breakfast. Eating breakfast is important.

-Text “#RMCMB” to someone who may have no idea what you’re talking about or why you’re talking about them.

-Purge your room/apartment/house of anything that isn’t blue, white or red.

-If you have anything tiger related in your room/apartment/house throw it out. You may think I’m kidding, but look what I just kicked out of my apartment.
No mercy
-Go outside and take a HUGE breath of fresh air. Really inhale everything you can get. This will clean the air of potentially bad particles that could hurt Mike McFadden’s wrists/knees/achilles.

-Watch this. Again. And again. And again. Peel your eyes back. Never forget.

-Hoist the animal of the choice above your head for sacrifice. Let the blood run down your body as you scream jibberish towards the heavens.

-Head to the local supermarket and take a few charges from people walking down the aisle. You have to really get yourself in the mindset to play defense today. Remember, they changed the charge rule in college basketball this year, so if this unsuspecting person has left their feet, DO NOT slide into position to take this charge.

-Wear your favorite RMU apparel!

That’s all I have folks. We’ll have a quick recap after the game tonight and more for you Sunday. See you at seven!
